As Vice President of Development and Leasing, Steve Jenkin’s primary responsibility is to lead the development and leasing efforts for the McKnight Engler team across all types, including leasing, client representation, build-to-suits, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Steve brings over 25 years of leasing and development experience with a strong knowledge of leasing and development of commercial retail real estate. Most recently, Jenkins founded Madison Realty Service, LLC to acquire and develop commercial projects and was responsible for the entire development process from land acquisition, managing entitlements and consultants, site planning, and executing leasing and sales strategies. Prior to Madison, Steve was responsible for managing all leasing efforts for Equity One Inc.’s (EQY) portfolio in VA, NC, SC, and GA.  Prior to EQY, he worked as a three-member team at The Commonwealth Company specializing in the development of Walmart-anchored projects, grocery-anchored centers, and single-tenant properties.

When Steve is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, skiing and fishing.
