Alex Yell oversees all finance aspects for McKnight Engler, including controllership, financial planning & analysis, financial risk & assurance, insurance, investor relations, tax, and treasury. Alex is also responsible for capital allocation, working in partnership with our investors and executive team, investment management, and development leaders on real estate investment activities.

Before becoming the CFO of McKnight Engler, Alex served as an Audit Manager at the regional firm Elliott Davis. With over seven years of accounting experience, Alex is a certified CPA and brings a wealth of public and private accounting expertise. He is also a proud Gamecock, holding a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Carolina.

When Alex isn’t crunching numbers or reviewing financial statements, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and catching up on college and NFL football and college basketball.
